Job Description

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and disciplined Night Auditor to oversee the hotel’s financial and operational activities during overnight hours.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for reconciling daily transactions, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and maintaining smooth operations throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-of-day financial reconciliations across all revenue streams, including room revenue, restaurant/kitchen sales (POS), bar, and other outlets
  • Audit and verify guest accounts, kitchen orders, inventory usage records, invoices, and billing accuracy
  • Reconcile kitchen and restaurant POS reports with sales records and payment collections
  • Review daily food and beverage reports, including voids, discounts, and complimentary items for accuracy and authorization
  • Cross-check kitchen production reports against sales to identify discrepancies, wastage, or irregularities
  • Monitor and report on stock movement and flag unusual variances in food and beverage inventory
  • Prepare and generate comprehensive daily financial and operational reports covering both accommodation and F&B operations
  • Manage night front desk operations, including guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally during overnight hours
  • Monitor hotel security and ensure adherence to safety procedures
  • Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies, errors, or suspicious transactions across both hotel and kitchen operations
  • Ensure proper handover to morning shift staff, including detailed notes on financials and operational issues

Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ progressive experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar auditing role within a hotel setting is compulsory. Candidates without this requirement will not be considered.
  • Strong understanding of hotel accounting systems and front office operations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and remain alert during night shifts
  • Integrity and strong sense of responsibility
